The Western Michigan SPE Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Helen P. Basso has been elected as an Honored Service Member of the Society of Plastics Engineers. She was sponsored because of her 13 years of dedicated service to the Western Michigan SPE. 
The Honored Service Member award is given to those who have demonstrated long-term, outstanding service to SPE and its objectives.
Helen’s SPE career includes service as the Newsletter Chair, Secretary, and two terms as Councilor to the SPE International organization. As Councilor, Helen held positions as the Section Committee Chair and Chairperson of the Council Committee of the Whole at the international level. Helen will be inducted as an Honored Service Member at the Leadership Awards Luncheon at ANTEC in Orlando, Florida on April 1, 2012.
